Yasashii Kibou (やさしい希望)

Beginning with her debut song. I’m really glad that it mixes well the arrangement with her marvelous voice. The acoustic guitar was a great choice to mix in with the anison arrangement, but also I’m surprised that the formula changed and doesn’t sound like typical anison. Those slow parts between verses or before reaching chorus are really cool, and I think were a great option to bring variation to the song. The arrangement sounded so cool and fresh but also Hayamin was perfect as always for me, having those notes that amaze me and make me love her more. So in the end, this is an amazing song and I think my favorite from the anime season.

Blue Hour ni Inori wo (ブルーアワーに祈りを)

We have a B-side that stands as the opposite by being a ballad. Because I’ve already heard the solo debut concert I was aware how it was. The song is really straightforward with Hayamin and piano mostly but you can notice more stuff behind. But the star was her voice, because she had to be dramatic to bring emotion to the song. And that’s when drums, and strings join as well with more backup vocals; just to show you next the instrumental section. I think this was going to stay as a ballad in terms of simplicity but with some changes really noticeable I think it was different from a usual ballad. So no complaints here. Continue reading

Harumodoki (春擬き)

I was so glad that she continued the tie-in for Oregairu for the 2nd season. This continues the anison vibe, but I really like the drastic strings at the beginning and I’m also fascinated with how nagi managed her voice during verses but mostly at the chorus. The strings here were one my favorite part because how they were shown during the song. I think this song works even better watching the opening because it mixes so well. I think she chose a great song as a followup for her 2nd album. A definitely good song and I even like it more than Yukitoki 🙂 Continue reading

Konomi Suzuki – This game

This game

My first post for Konomi ^o^. And so, I wanted to start with her recent single “this game”. This song carries the anison roots in it mixed with some drums and constant guitars noticed mostly at the first part of the verses, but also has some piano which makes the song more entertaining and refreshing. I like how she sings the fast part before the chorus, at first I wasn’t sure but then I listen to it more and more, until I like it. But the chorus for me is the blast with the  strings combined with the piano to deliver an incredible and catchy song part of the song. Also another thing I notice was her voice. I’m not sure but I notice her voice little different from her previous songs, not that is bad, but it got my attention. Still this is an awesome song.

Delighting

I was liking the whole feeling of the arrangement with its electronic beat catchiness but then Konomi starts singing which sounded a lot like another “this game” why??? I don’t want another version of the song with different lyrics and the arrangement, but keeping the same essence of the other song. I wanted a brand new song, not trying a different version of the A-side, so maybe others will like it, but I wanted something different. Continue reading

Bokura Ha Ima no Naka De

The opening for the anime was such a pleasant tune and showing each year in voices was a good choice. I like how the 2nd year start things, and then 1st year, finally the 3rd year. The verses were so cool, but the main star was the chorus, that is so catchy, every line I need to sing it xD. The arrangement on the other side, is real normal except the intro sound and the final of the song, but even so, the girls give the energy necessary for the song, we don’t get many solos as I wanted but at the end, I’m happy they didn’t because it was cool the way they perform it. And just remembering the live version ^o^. Continue reading
